How will your agency respond to the need for a coastal NC evacuation? The 120 to Landfall: 2.0 Functional Exercise is designed to test healthcare preparedness capabilities and the North Carolina Coastal Region Evacuation and Sheltering Standard Operating Guide (CRESSOG).
This exercise is primarily focused on hospital evacuation from an impending major hurricane. Hospitals are encouraged to activate their command center for optimal participation in this exercise. If hospitals are unable to setup their command centers they will still be able to participate.
This exercise will assist hospitals, ems and emergency management agencies that have a primary role in patient evacuations the ability to test and evaluate their individual plans as well as how those plans integrate into State and Local plans.
The purpose of the Eastern Healthcare Preparedness Coalition is to facilitate joint planning, response and recovery to a disaster. This will lead to the continued integration of public health and emergency management into the planning team as well as expansion to other healthcare partners like long term care, community health centers, law enforcement, and fire departments.
